COLLEGE SCIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR NURSING SCHOOL STUDENTS

Nursing College Course Prerequisites

ISP students get a head start on their new careers in nursing and the health sciences by completing prerequisite college science courses in an accelerated, weekend-based format. ISP is an academically rigorous program enabling college science courses to be completed in one month versus one semester.

ACCELERATED PRE-NURSING COURSES

ISP is a trusted academic program. Students seeking college science prerequisites for nursing programs enroll in ISP's weekend classes every Saturday and Sunday. Students take only one course at a time. For example, many pre-nursing students come to ISP to complete college Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 and college Microbiology in just three months!

ISP pre-nursing students go on to pursue professional nursing programs at two- and four-year nursing colleges for undergraduate degrees, as well as masters degrees in nursing. Professional nursing degrees pursued by ISP graduates include: ADN, BSN, CNA, RN, LPN, LVN.

Many pre-nursing students enroll in ISP because five years have elapsed since the last time they completed Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 and Microbiology, requirements for nursing schools and colleges.

NURSING SCHOOL TRANSFER CREDITS

The Integrated Science Program is located at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) in Whittier, California. SCU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). ISP students have transferred to nursing programs regionally and nationally. Students are encouraged to contact their nursing school of choice before enrolling in ISP to assure credit transferability. The academic counselors at SCU can assist ISP students in their efforts to transfer college course credits, if necessary.

TAKE ONLY CLASSES YOU NEED
