ISP - Pre-Nursing LVN to RN Student

Kamilah King enrolled in the Integrated Science Program for three months and was thoroughly prepared for her RN program. She took three of the ISP weekend college accelerated classes, including Anatomy and Physiology 1, Anatomy and Physiology 2, and Microbiology.

"They all had some type of medical background which is a key...

You got to study a human instead of a cat which made it more interesting...

Once you become a registered nurse and get your bachelor's degree, you can do anything with it."

Please watch what Kamilah King has to say about the pre-nursing student program:

Kamilah King, Pre-Nursing (LVN to RN) Student, Video Transcript:

ISP gets it done faster as opposed to 16 week programs, where you lose interest and focus. With four weeks, you stay focused because it's an intense program.

They were awesome. They knew what they were talking about. They all had some type of medical background which is a key, as far as people being in the medical profession because they were able to use their medical background in terms of teaching us stuff about anatomy or physiology. You got to study a human instead of a cat which made it more interesting and more able to learn because you're studying a human and not a cat, where other programs, 16 weeks, you do cats and not humans. So you're able to take what you learned in the book to the lab and to the human. So it makes sense.

Once you become a registered nurse and get your bachelor's degree, you can do anything with it. You can go into cosmetic surgery as far as Botox and other great stuff and you can teach. You can, once you come out, have endless possibilities.

Although I make pretty good money as an LVN, becoming an RN, I'll make just as much money and not have to struggle financially.
